Paula Cohen

Paula Cohen transferred her more than 20 years of counseling and coaching experience in human resources to the field of career consulting in 1994.  Since then she’s been providing both individual consultation and classroom facilitation for the world’s largest career management firm.  For five years she served as the sole on-site career consultant at the Citibank Career Center, assisting hundreds of downsized long-service employees to gain the skills and techniques necessary to successfully re-enter the job market.

Paula’s approach is common-sense, practical and immediately usable.  Her focus is on the job search as “sales,” including how to attract prospective employers by demonstrating the advantages your strengths and experience will bring to their companies.  She is highly adept at helping individuals find and verbalize their greatest strengths, enabling them to identify and comfortably pursue their goals, and explaining what works (and what doesn’t) on a job search, and why.  She holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature from Brooklyn College, and a Certificate in Human Resources Management from New York University.  She is also a published novelist and short-story writer.
